Dana Keil

Dana KeilThis is Dana’s first year at the Jewish Education Center! She has a B.S. in Special Education from Boston University, and an M.S. in Special Education with a focus on Behavior Disorders from Hunter College. Previously, Dana taught at the Runkle School, a public school in Brookline, Massachusetts, and at UAGC, a New York City public school before becoming the Director of Support Services at Luria Academy of Brooklyn, and a recipient of the Ruderman Family Foundation prize for work in inclusion.

 

Dana and her family lived in Israel for four years where she completed certifications through Eshkolot: The Matan Educators Institute for Tanakh and Jewish Studies, and Lapidot: Matan and Mizrachi Fellowship for Talmud and Halachic Studies, and taught Masters level courses at Pardes’ Day School Educator Program. Most recently, Dana served as the Lower School Director of Luria Academy. She is a graduate of Prizmah’s YOULead program, and is currently in Cohort 11 of MTEI (Mandel Teacher Educator Institute.)

 

Dana lives in Beachwood with her husband, Rabbi Ben Keil, the Assistant Rabbi at Green Road Synagogue, and their four children, Meir (10), Ashira (8), Livia (6) and Hillel (8 months.)
