Marlyn Bloch Jaffe
Marlyn Bloch Jaffe is the Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Education Center (JEC). Over her 20-plus years at the JEC, Marlyn served as director of planning and evaluation and then as associate director. She was appointed to the role of executive director in 2021. Marlyn’s work has focused on overall strategy for the JEC, leading strategic planning, overseeing evaluation, and consulting with partner organizations. Her Jewish communal career began at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, where she worked in several capacities, including director of human resources development, director of government relations, and assistant planning director.
Marlyn graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in English, magna cum laude, and the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations of Case Western Reserve University with a Master of Nonprofit Organizations. She is also a graduate of the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute (MTEI), and completed her coursework for a Master of Arts in Jewish Education from Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is a contributing author to Kaddish: Women's Voices published by Urim Publications, which received the 2013 National Jewish Book Award in the category of Contemporary Jewish Life and Practice.
Marlyn and her husband Ari are the proud parents of three children (one in Cleveland and two in Israel) and grandparents of five.
